Bob Richardson 1938 - ongoing

Bob was born in 1938 in Salford, Lancashire and initially utilised his artistry and five years of training at Art School, in the world of Advertising as a visualizer. Considerable success at exhibitions as an amateur painter led him to the decision to turn professional in 1975.

His reputation has grown, being a member of the Pastel Society and a regular exhibiter at the invitation shows of the Confederation of British Artists and the Mall Galleries.

It was in 1991 that he was awarded their Grand Prix. In 1992 he won the prestigious Editor's Choice Award from the "International Collectors' Journal, Watercolours Drawings and Prints". His painting are now in many significant collections including Granada television, BMW Cars Ltd., Manchester Stock Exchange, Salford Art Gallery - the list is impressive and very long.

He has gained considerable respect in the art world, his pastel paintings have both radiance and atmosphere, and as an art critic of the Daily Telegraph wrote: "He achieves a standard of excellence which holds it's own against the best of masters of his genre".
